A driver apparently lost control of a vehicle and crashed into a bank in Queens, injuring two people and destroying the interior of the building.

The accident occurred early Monday afternoon in Whitestone after a black Toyota Camry jumped the sidewalk at a rate of speed fast enough that the car crashed through glass and metal and came to a stop in the back of the building up against a counter of the Ridgewood Savings Bank

"It's unreal, I'm totally shocked," said Raymond Ramos, a witness to the accident.

Police say a woman was dragged by the car as it went through the bank. She was taken to the hospital along with the driver of the car, but their injuries are not yet known.

Several others were struck with flying glass, but only suffered minor injuries.

The car is now the second to drive into a New York business in the past three days. On Saturday, a cab involved in a side-swipe accident slammed into a Vitamin Shoppe on Fifth Avenue.
